The Review for Gold Gear, Heros, Uniforms and Loot in Playdom’s Marvel Avengers Alliance Game for Facebook and Playdom.com

Beauty School Drop Out from the Motion Picture, Grease

Update to this blog post:

On October 12, 2012, I received a death threat from Eric Hallford (aka Raoul Duke, AgentofChaos, pedobear, Hallford1972, etc.) in response to this blog post.

Eric Hallford makes death threat

Note from the Editor:

I was waiting for Monday to publish The Hero School Review No. 5. Because Mondays need a little help – not to mention that people want to know about Magik, Phoenix Flare, Phoenix Pinion and the latest gold gear.

But there’s this guy in Playdom.com’s MAA Alpha Guild that wants you to forget about The Hero School Review – he thinks he knows better and he thinks you’d be better off following him. But he is no Great Dictator.

He’s a self-described college drop out. But someday, he wants to study film at The University of Southern Californa. USC just happens to be my alma mater.

He’s trying to build his community – not by the merit of what he has to offer but because he says I and others suck. And everything we do, sucks. Even if his shallow and thoughtless attempts fail to imitate everything that we are doing to build and contribute to the Marvel Avengers Alliance game community.

I’m not saying I’m a genius  because I am not a genius, but the beauty school drop out is saying that he is a genius of unimaginably high IQ.

What does he have to offer?

Love? Hope? Faith? 5 Free Gold for the Marvel Avengers Alliance game on Facebook?

No.

He’s a forum troll that begs for attention, he shares humor (?) about child rape, and he’s a huge fan of pedobear. Pedo, obviously, is short for pedophile. He also hates on women. Examples of such abound.

He explains his fondness for Pedobear as a creative, right-brained urge. And since Pedobear appeals to his “man-child” genius – you should respect Pedobear and everything it represents.

Here’s one set of images posted by the genius on a public forum. This is not the only example of his exercise of his so-called genius and “man-child” creativity. And thousands of people are aware of what he is doing and what he has done.

Nor does he believe that my and others attempts to keep the game and public forums, kid safe, worthwhile. He brings obscene images and text to public forums and, yes, it very much appears that he advocates child rape in the guise of meme humor – like a wolf in sheepskin. Playdom-Disney apparently does not find his actions to be grounds for removal from participating in the public forum and/or game.

So I’m not publishing the hero and gear reviews today because I don’t want to contribute to a community whose silent majority tolerates a monster. There is a need for a loud and clear message to Playdom Disney that such monsters have no place in our world – real or otherwise.

Do you think I’m over-reacting? Try to imagine what I would do if my son had seen those images. It would be bloody, final and, perhaps, criminal. I suppose that would depend on local law and the jury.

Because I am a daddy.

Fortunately, my son will not get anywhere near online for a few more years.

Sorry to hear this weirdo has got you pissed off! Its sad that somebody thinks that is humor. Anybody who references peda-anything should immediately be kicked off. Love your guides and i will always use you as the definitive Marvel Avengers voice. Keep up the good work!

  2. Well, I was contemplating whether to comment or not, but ,whatever, here we go.
It is hard for me and my cynicism (It is screaming at me as I’m writing), but I have to support you in your contempt of such activities and personalities.Actually I’m not one to judge – I’m just trying to live in the world and try to make it a better place and seldom notice such people. The point is… they are not monsters.. they are people, and it makes them much worse. They are boring, annoying people, that find it worthwhile to make other people feel bad.
Here, I think I found it. The problem is not the fact that they are interested in some things or some others, or just what they do post…I don’t think most of them even care about content of pictures and citations they post – it is just trend, popular hyperlinks of emptiness.
Much worse is the fact that such people do not bother trying to notice other people around them, do not care about them. It is just a really annoying, boring and immature form of egoticism.

For some more time, I can try to understand such people
( it is a personal quirk, trying to understand everyone, also, don’t have children yet, so it is not as personal), but…
It is really a shame, that such behavior is not moderated – it really lowers overall quality level of most communities.
Because silly adult jokes should belong where they do belong, as surely as most of us do like to hear clean, beautiful speech, not constant swearing and faulty simplicity. And such texts clearly belong not to pubic forums, they are tolerated (sometimes) in friendly corvesations, can be placed in specian “message-” and “image-” boards, where person knows what he is expecting.
As I already said, it is not a problem of content, but a problem of behavior(in my quite humble opinion)

Actually, sorry for me ranting, as your post made me contemplate for a while, with me pointing all directions at the same time. It is hard to post anything , when at the end of some statement, thought, logical construct, you just take it and point something, and then just reverse all this wibbly-wobbly stuff in other direction. But, it seem, thankfully at the end of ranting I really managed to find an end of this thought.
Whatever, sometimes you just to end the line.

Again, sorry for a useless line of text, thanks for making me think, and good luck for you and your close ones, also good luck in trying to make Playdom a better place to be.

(p.s – sorry for my bad, and sometimes random English)

    • Stan Faryna says:

Your English is ok. I appreciate you sharing your think on this. I think you make some interesting points. I will consider them.

  3. As a fan of both MAA and this blog community I find the type of disgusting “fanfare” mentioned in this post disheartening. Understand, I am someone who enjoys offbeat humor, but the memes that were posted by that creep were not only completely unfunny, but almost come across as legitimate pedophilia endorsement. I encourage anyone who comes across this sort of thing to report it to Playdom.

    • Stan Faryna says:

Right on, Jason. Myself, I sometimes worry that memes can be as dangerous as they can be funny. Their use of parody or their embrace of self-defeat can present powerful irrational opposition to common sense, intelligence, insight, and concrete human experience.

  4. Adam Weiler says:

What a creep! The internet seems to be full of them, just Block when you can and *Ignore* when you can’t. -Adam
