Almost a year ago, I wrote a popular series of blog posts about Backyard Monsters. I wrote those posts in contemplation of what makes a good game and a successful game company. Those posts were my most popular posts ever with over 100,000+ readers. They start here.
Of course, I received quite a few emails asking how I leveled up so fast and dominated my map. So, a year later, I’m coming back with a little strategy to help you get over the humps.
Oh- some other blog posts (by me) that people love:
If you want to dominate your neighboring tribes, here’s my Backyard Monsters cheats:
Backyard Monsters Cheat One
Build a smart defense wall around valuable buildings: Town Hall, Storage Silos, and a few Goo Factories. Double walls are good. Triple the wall that is furthest from the entrance.
Backyard Monsters Cheat Two
Leave an entrance on one side of the wall and focus at least half of your firepower on that opening. At least one Tesla Tower and Laser Tower should be in firing range of the entrance.
Backyard Monsters Cheat Three
Pick the mushrooms. Some mushrooms will give you free shiny. The more often you pick the mushrooms, the more often they will spawn. the more often they spawn, the more chances you get for free shiny.
Backyard Monsters Cheat Four
Use free shiny to increase the production speed of attack monsters – only when you plan to attack a neighboring tribe’s base. When you plan an attack, plan to be online to make as many attacks as you can on a targeted base.
Backyard Monsters Cheat Five
If you are attacked by a neighboring tribe, take revenge and attack their base as often as possible. Most players will stop attacking your base – if you harry them consistently for a week or two. If they don’t, sue for peace.
Good luck. Noroc!
